AAU Hockey Hall Of FameThe AAU Hockey Hall Of Fame announced it's first class of honorees at the 2007 AAU Junior Olympic Games on the 10th anniversary of hockey being added to the AAU Junior Olympics. These Hall of Fame honorees have distinguished themselves in their sport right along side the great athletes that have participated in the AAU. Athletes such as Muhammad Ali, Jim Thorpe, Michael Phelps, Jesse Owens, Jackie Joyner Kersee, Peyton Manning, Mark Spitz, Derek Jeter, Lebron James, Magic Johnson, and so many others that left their mark on the AAU and american sports history.
== Eligibility and Voting Procedures All players that have aged out of the AAU Junior Olympics are eligible for Hall of Fame consideration and are screened by the Hall of Fame Board along with coaches and administrators that have made significant contribution to the sport of inline hockey. The Hall of Fame Board narrows all eligible players, coaches and administrators down to to a maximum of 25 nominees which are then placed on the ballot and sent to the Hall of Fame Voting Committee who then vote on who they believe should be honored. Nominees must receive 75% or higher of the submitted votes to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Any candidate who receives less than 25% of the votes will be permanently removed from future ballots. The Class of 2009 will be announced and their banners raised at the 2009 AAU Junior Olympic Games.
